The power number (in the upper right corner) is usually best at an even number if you have or will have slots in your weapon that give you a power discount for matching symbols. There usually will be a fee in credits to fuse, the higher and more mods/cores you use, the more its going to cost.
You don't have to match names to make it better, you can use any mod and core but it is more efficient if you use matching symbols at least and usually can benefit from using 1 fusion core. I'd also like to point out that the fusion cores don't seem to be automatically used/expended when you fuse but can be manually selected to help power or augment the fusion process.įusion is basically making one mod better at the expense of using other mods and fusion cores to make it better. Usually, you have to return to the arsenal to upgrade weapons and warframes, I guess the concept is that you need time, tools and minimal distractions to modify your equipment. Obviously you have found they also incorporate the new technology they find on missions as well.
